STOMIX has opened a new production hall in Skorošice (Video: Jan Sebastien)

The first Friday in August went down in the corporate history of STOMIX as the day when they opened a new production hall on their premises. The investment of EUR 1.6 million is a response to the growing market interest in StoCleyer B design cladding strips, which are produced for the German parent company Sto in Skorosice.

For STOMIX, this is the most important investment in its modern history, dating back to mid-2011, when the German based parent company STO SE & Co. KGaA (hereinafter referred to as the "Sto Group") entered into the company. A few years ago, it was the management of the Sto Group that commissioned the production of popular cladding strips faithfully imitating the appearance of real bricks under the name StoCleyer B to the Skorosice plant.

Before the ribbon-cutting, Jost Bendel, a member of the Executive Board of Sto Group, personally praised the work of the company's employees, saying: "We know about the skills of the people here. So when it came to deciding on the choice of the production plant where the Sto Group would locate the production of StoCleyer B, Skorošice was a clear choice for us."

For the project worth CZK 42 million, the company's CEO Mr. Krzysztof Stremlau appreciated the speed of implementation, adherence to the budget and personally thanked the key suppliers, including a number of companies and entrepreneurs from the Jeseník region.

"We are waiting for the final inspection and test operation. However, we are very much looking forward to going live and the first products from the new hall will head to European and more distant markets.", confessed Mr. David Čvanda, COO of STOMIX, to his colleagues. Up to 24 new employees could find work there in the future.

The 3-times increase in production capacity means that the 2 new production lines with drying chambers can churn out up to 300 thousand square meters of cladding strips per year, which STOMIX has already managed to prepare in more than 100 design variants and is boldly embarking on more.

STOMIX is a confident and proud part of the Sto Group. This investment is proof of this and has further strengthened the company's position in the Group.

STOMIX continues to expand its production in Skorošice!

Thanks to the investment in a completely new production line, tailored to our needs, a new product under the name Sto Cleyer B is being launched onto the market. With this final step, an almost 2-year project of in-house development of the new product was successfully completed.

Sto Cleyer B are cladding tiles from an organic base, faithfully imitating the appearance of real bricks. They are intended for the final application of the surface treatment of the building facades. In Skorošice, we produce 24 designs that can be an addition to the existing facade or can replace the facade of the building as a whole, e.g. when being insulated.

This product is intended primarily for the markets within the EU.

For the sixth year in a row, the STOMIX company has been producing a product in Skorošice intended for the application in the interior of buildings to improve their acoustic properties.

Thanks to the manual skills, know-how and high quality of the work of our employees, the product has looked to almost all continents of the world.

The StoSilent Direct system of the Sto concern, which also includes a product from Skorošice, won the project for the application of the building of the World Health Organization in Geneva under challenging conditions.

StoCleyer W facade panels have become another milestone in the development of STOMIX, and the company's management sees the potential in this product to become an important pillar of our production.

In April of this year, we introduced the production of a modern design product for the surface treatment of facades under the name StoCleyer W in our production plant in Skorošice. This product is supplied to our sister companies within the Sto Group, not only in the EU. With StoCleyer W façade panels, an authentic wood look can be realized on façade insulation systems. The panels are easy and fast to apply. They are more economical and durable than real wood and can be tinted in many shades.

  • New production line of acoustic panels

    Acoustic panels ready for shipping

Early 2019, we built a brand new production line for the acoustic panels that we supply to our parent company. Not only has this line optimized our internal logistics processes, but it has also increased overall production capacity.

At the same time, working conditions and all environmental aspects have been improved (better dust filtration, lower noise levels and reduced heating costs thanks to new gas drying chambers).

A new investment project was launched at the end of last year aimed at reducing the energy demands of the STOMIX factory in Skorošice.

After new insulated sectional doors were installed last year, the company proceeded with investment in changing the lighting of production and warehouse halls. By using advanced LED technology, we hope to reduce the energy demand of lighting by up to 60%. An improvement in working conditions is a matter of course, and the simplification of maintenance and reduced failure rates can also be expected.

Our region is unique in its location and environment. We are worried about the environment and respectful of our surroundings. The completion of this project will see drastic and permanent savings in energy and reductions in CO2 emissions compared to the baseline (initial) state.
